Campo de Golf de Saly

Golf de Saly (Route N1, Mbour): located 1 hour’s drive southeast of Dakar, this golf course (reputed to be the best in Senegal) was designed by Belgian national Vic Bernstein, and now has 18 holes. It is an extremely attractive course set amongst an abundance of greenery and flowering plants with numerous lakes and majestic baobab trees complimenting the landscape. Of the 18 holes, 7 have at least 1 water hazard. Technically, the course holds no major difficulties; you can play a long and easy game, or a shorter, more technical one. Djoudj National Bird Sanctuary

Djoudj National Bird Sanctuary (45 minutes northeast of Saint Louis): located in the Senegal River Delta (near the Senegal border with Mauritania), the Djoudj Sanctuary is a 16,000-hectare wetland, consisting of a large lake surrounded by streams, ponds and backwaters.
